I donapos;t understand love at all. I just cannot understand how one person can make you feel so complete and happy. It shouldnapos;t be that easy for someone to affect you so intimately. I cannot understand how anyone can just make you feel so whole and then make you feel so lost and confused when they leave you. It hurts so much more because when you are in love, you really experience what it is to
live. You actually pay attention to everything, and everything has meaning. When you lose that feeling, you just float through life, neither enjoying nor hating it. Itapos;s a terrible feeling, and you miss out on so much of what you used to enjoy. You find yourself incapable of feeling any significant emotion about anything, instead experiencing the worst feeling of all: indifference. You are no longer living, but merely existing. Although it is obviously possible to exist without this person, you find it impossible to live without them. For this reason, I can now fully understand why people feel as though they need to die without the person they love. It is not because they attach some impossible priority on this person and feel that they cannot exist without this person, it is that they feel as though nothing in their life can possibly be as enjoyable without sharing it with that significant other. And although they will eventually feel happiness and joy elsewhere, they will never again experience that wholesome enjoyment and happiness in the same way that they have experienced it while in love.
